Oncorhynchus mykiss, or the rainbow trout, is the most common trout species in North America. It is defined by a bright silvery side with hues of blue or yellow accompanied with a light pink to red horizontal band and gill plate and an olive to dark green back. They originally inhabited a range only on the west side of the great plains from Alaska all the way to Mexico, but due to their overwhelming popularity as a game fish they have been introduced to thousands of lakes and streams across North America and Europe. The rainbow trout can now be found in nearly every U.S. state and Canadian province. Show your support for this beautiful fish and present this decal proudly!
